We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Swantown. From check-in to check out, our hosts were kind and fun and made us feel so very welcome. The breakfasts both days were amazing, and we were able to watch a football game my husband did not want to miss in their lovely dining room. They had fun suggestions of things to see and do, and this amazing home is in a lovely part of Olympia. I enjoyed walking to the Capitol from there. The home is so rare for the PNW - a historic home lovingly restored with so many period details. I could not recommend it more highly.

The owner was so incredibly rude. My wife asked him about their cancellation policy and he very rudely explained it and then told her if we are thinking about canceling they will not be allowing us to book. We said we’re not thinking about canceling we just wanted to understand their hotel policy. Based on their reviews we were concerned about transparency so we wanted to know their policy. He rudely said they are a bed and breakfast NOT a hotel. My wife said ..sir you being are quite rude and he said they are not a good fit and do not want our business. The call ending in a cussing match on both sides. WOW! I’m not sure we’ve ever experienced anything like that. Do not waste your time or money.

I'm sure the place is lovely but the staff are really weird about changes/cancellations. I called to cancel today and they seemed... offended? I don't know. Work trips get canceled. Things happen. Also, beware their site does not highlight that you're culpable for up to the full stay. They repeat that there is a $25 handling fee but do not emphasize/highlight the actual costs of cancellation. They are also unresponsive to emails. Not too disappointed about missing this place, even with the considerable incurred cancellation costs. UPDATE: See response from owner. Absolutely gutted to miss this service opportunity.

So many wonderful things to say about the accommodations at Swantown! The host is extremely nice and welcoming, offering many different recommendations for local restaurants. The room was spacious, and there was relaxing music playing when I first entered the room. The ceiling fan has a convenient remote, as well as for the over-head light. WI-FI works great for business as well. And how could I forget about the delicious breakfast? Every dish was exceptional and unique, and the host accommodated my busy schedule by feeding me early. All of this is priced very reasonably. So, why stay at a hotel for the same price (or more)? Give the Swantown Inn and Spa a try and experience something truly special. You won't be disappointed!

Recently celebrated our wedding here and stayed at the suite for the weekend. The owners were great to work with and very helpful with any questions we had after booking the Swantown Inn for the wedding. They were excellent hosts and helped make our wedding an amazing experience!

Bike rentals- owners were helpful and personable. Bikes worked great for seeing Olympia and later getting out on trails. Good rate. Will rent again.

This is a review after renting a Rad e-bike from Swantown Inn and Spa. After seeing the Inn and meeting Nathan and Casey, I’ve been trying to justify a stay with them even though I live in Olympia. There are a lot of e-bikes on the market now but not many that are available for a test ride. Lucky for me, the Rad which seemed best for me, was available to rent. Nathan was so pleasant and helpful in going over the bike and making sure I felt safe and comfortable with it. He suggested a quick route to a bike path which made for a wonderful ride. I’ll soon be the owner of the RadCity Step-Thru 3. Both Casey and Nathan were there when I returned the bike and we enjoyed a pleasant chat. What great Innkeepers they are! Thanks so much, Casey and Nathan.

Such an adorably quaint inn. If you love a beautiful Victorian home this is a treat. Breakfast in the morning is prepared according to your dietary needs and it is delicious. Best cup of coffee in all of Oly! Close to attractions, this is a hidden gem.

I stopped by for an e-bike rental and received better customer service than I ever expected. I went 80 miles (with a gratis battery swap in the middle) and enjoyed a most memorable ride through the Washington countryside. I had open plans and decided to go ahead and book a room and another bike rental later in the week. The house is amazing! The bed was so comfortable that I fell asleep almost immediately and had a 2 hour nap. Breakfast was delicious, and the homemade sorbet was absolutely devine. I hope I get another chance to visit in the future. There is much to see and do, and the e-bike made it a joy to travel by. The drivers I encountered were very courteous of bikes, a welcome change from home. Book a stay here and you will not be disappointed.

This place is Amazing. The rooms are gorgeous, the family who runs it is super friendly. All the amenities you need are provided. The breakfast served IS DELICIOUS, all cooked in house. It feels like I'm staying at a family's house. I will be coming back :)

This review is YEARS overdue, but I still think about this little B&B! I stayed here as part of an intimate wedding party. I remember how comfy and charming the rooms were and of course, the delightful breakfast! Very much enjoyed my stay here and chatting with the Inn owners. Would highly recommend Swantown Inn for anyone looking for a little escape that's still close to the city should you choose to wander over.

We are locals that rented Ebikes to enjoy an afternoon downtown and to consider purchasing an Ebike for our family. The owner was charming and welcoming. He had our bikes outfront and ready, when we pulled 20 minutes early. He took the time to make sure we were familiar with the bikes and told us to take a short ride to the end of the road to make sure there were no problems before sending us off. Afterwards, he told us we would get a link for a discount from the company if we were really serious about purchasing Ebikes. He couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. Also, my father in law stepped inside to use the restroom and remarked the whole way home how nice and clean the inside (that he saw) was. Very nice place. **I hope the local officials work with him so he can "pivot" and open his coffee window** Good Luck!

Lived up to the reviews, amazing owners extremely friendly. The breakfast was extremely good and the room was nothing but comfortable that would make you melt and do nothing but relax. Highly recommend staying here and will go back again for a wonderful relaxing time.

Beautiful rooms, delicious breakfast. Host was friendly, welcoming, and curious - but not overbearing. Location is convenient to downtown, but in a quiet neighborhood setting.

Perfect staycation. The tub in the Astoria room is enormous and amazing. The bed might be the most comfortable I've ever slept in. Friendly staff, delicious breakfast. Will definitely recommend to friends!

Wonderful location near downtown Olympia in a quiet neighborhood. Room was nice and very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. Check-in was easy and Nathan was a wonderful host.

Every detail was seen to, every comfort attended. Looking for rest? indulgence? romance? nostalgia? all of the above? It is perfection - lovely warm rooms filled with lush antique furniture, a kind, attentive host, tasty food (including the most delicious sorbet I've ever eaten) and no problems at all catering to food allegies or special needs (I mean cheerful about it! And wonderful options!) and an atmosphere of absolute welcome. We went for our wedding night and upon our arrival, the fireplace in our room was going and there was soft music playing; little touches that just made our night. We took our shoes off and had champagne by the fire. It was divine!! I can't recommend this place highly enough. We will definitely be returning!

Nice room, excellent breakfast, lovely host

Friendly, welcoming staff. Victorian charm with modern amenities like AC and a luxurious jacuzzi tub in the Astoria room. Delicious 3-course breakfast every day made with home-grown ingredients. Lovely garden with shady spots to relax. We felt right at home!

We were married here about 13 years ago when we decided to elope. It was wonderful! They provided the cake, flowers, officiant, and even the witnesses! Talk about full service. They also took some lovely photos for us. I highly recommend the Swantown Inn.

I’m work here as a licensed massage therapist and I just want to say that the inn and spa is just an amazing experience and space. The owners are very nice and want each guest to enjoy their stay. Each suite is unique, historic and second to none.

My now husband and i wanted a short elopement that was more memorable than at a courthouse and Nathan and Casey were wonderful and made it a very memorable day that we will never forget. We give the Swantown Inn 5 plus stars and will return one day.

This is a fantastic place to stay. Everything was clean, quiet and comfortable. We had a wonderful breakfast in the morning. Casey is really attuned to dietary issues of which we were very appreciative. Cookies upon arrival! This is in a great location as well. Thanks so much for a great stay!

What an amazing Bed and Breakfast!! The Innkeeper, Nathan, and his wife were very friendly and welcoming. Very quaint and charming. My wife and I stayed in the Columbia Room. We didn't fully realize the individual climate controls in the room which would have helped a lot. The bathroom is not connected to the room, but we were at the end of the hallway, so no issue there. They also provided very comfortable robes. I ordered the "Chance at Romance" package. Beautiful roses, bottle of champagne, and delicious chocolates. Breakfast in the morning was around a nice dining room table with the other guests. The food was delicious! Scones, spices plum sorbet, and decadent French toast (stuffed with cream cheese and marionberry jam). Overall amazing experience and highly recommend!!

We stayed in the Puget Sound suite. It was very nice and was perfect for an active 18 month old. It was very clean and comfortable. Easy to walk to places around the area. I didn't realize until we checked in there was no air conditioning. Happy to say we didn't miss it. The unit stayed cool and comfortable using the ceiling and exhaust fans.

Excellent spot for a weekend getaway!

Nathan and Casey are exceptionally kind and accommodating hosts. My wedding went off without a hitch and all of my family from out of town absolutely loved their rooms. Breakfast and catering for the wedding was amazing. Every step of the way I felt at ease with wedding planning because I knew Nathan and Casey had my back. Nathan even took my family to the train station in his van at the last minute when we realized all of the luggage wouldn't fit in my car! I seriously, seriously cannot thank them enough. Anyone planning a smaller wedding needs to have it at The Swantown Inn, and stay the night if you're looking for a high class B&B experience!

My husband and I did our vow renewal April 27th and we were really happy with the weekend vow renewal package. We have a lot going on in our lives and the husband and wife team were really great hosts!! They setup the tables and chairs and even matched the table cloths to our colors. It was small and intimate and exactly what we wanted. We loved that we had massages booked for us before we checked out, unfortunately my husband’s male massage therapist did a horrible job. I loved my massage therapist she was amazing! I wish my husband would have been able to have the same great and relaxing massage that I got.

I went for a massage this morning and it was excellent! I felt pampered and relaxed. I still feel very relaxed and highly recommend this service.

A wonderful experience when we went down to Yelm for two days of bike riding. Great location. Large rooms. Easy parking. Allowed us to bring in our bikes for security by giving us a ground floor room. Walking distance to great eating. Highly recommend.

Fourth time staying here, and it’s obvious why we keep coming back: the innkeepers are friendly, kind, and accommodating, and made sure that we had everything we needed while we waited out a snowstorm. On a previous trip, they charged my dead car battery, and this time dug our car out of several inches of snow when it was time for us to leave. They’re always quick to offer whatever help they can! We were comfortable, relaxed, and cozy in the Astoria room, which is worth a splurge. Breakfast is always memorable and delicious, and I always appreciate having excellent coffee along with it. This is definitely my favorite place to stay that isn’t my own home!

We were there for a friend's wedding and everything was great, they helped with everything and even helped us figure out how to make it the way we wanted it to be.

Friend had a wedding there and it was great for a small event.

We were here for a wedding and it was beautiful. They have a wonderful event space and the garden was lovely for taking pictures.

Stayed there last night and it was amazing. The room was elegant with hints of PNW all around. The bed was amazing and we both slept so well we didn’t really want to get up. The breakfast was amazing. The scones were the best I’ve ever had. And the breakfast took into consideration food allergies and preferences with out being bland and boring. Nathan is super friendly and sweet. He was going to recommend Basilico for our dinner because I am gluten free but we already had reservations for them. Having him also recommend it made me feel even better about going. Trying to figure another great reason to go ans stay again because 20th anniversaries only come once.

The building is absolutely beautiful. All the furniture is antique, but in good working order. The owners are a family with kids and they live on site.

Beautiful inn with lots of charm and character. Within walking distance to downtown Olympia. The owners, Nathan and Casey, were very hospitable, helpful, and a pleasure to stay with. I would recommend and plan on bringing family back in the future.

I stayed here along my journey to all 4 corners of America raising awareness for veterans with PTSD on foot and bicycle. This place is a true gem! It is an old Victorian house that has everything you could want! The bathrooms are done to period but have modern amenities. The rooms are spotless, beds are a dream to sleep on, and the food they can prepare is amazing! If that wasn't enough, the owners are a true delight and such wonderful people to have a conversation with. They know the area inside and out. They also have their own honey you can buy! But the best part is the brand new event center they have there. It is so nice! Weddings, meetings, family reunions, you name it and you can have it here. You've probably stayed in a hotel before. Don't do that if you are in the area. You can do that anywhere. Stay here at this wonderful B&B and spa. You will thank me later!

Awesome service. Went way above and beyond my needs. Family feeling to the place. Would recommend to anyone

The owners were super friendly and the room was very comfortable. The breakfast was especially great; probably the best French toast I've ever had. We'll definitely be staying again if we're passing through Olympia.

My wife and I live local and stayed here on our honeymoon. Nathan and Casey were great! Breakfast was delicious and the conversation was just as good. The Inn itself is absolutely beautiful! It's the perfect mix of original look and feel with some modern touches added in. We're planning on coming back next year for our anniversary!

Nathan and Casey made every step of our wedding at Swantown Inn effortless and beautiful. Casey catered to our vegan requirements and Nathan reassured me that everything would go smoothly every step of the way. The Inn was the best choice for our intimate wedding and we couldn't have asked for a better day. Thank you so much!!

Thank you Nathan and Casey for a lovely stay at your Inn. Your friendliness and helpfulness were very appreciated. You have a beautiful family. Sophie greeted us each morning in hopes of procuring a fresh scone. We will definitely stay again and spread the news to our friends. Last, but not least, THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH for the lovely & delicious boxed breakfast. It was more than ample, we even had some left to eat on our flight. We really appreciated your thoughtfulness. Thank You, Sincerely, Carol & Lee Deisering

We haven't stayed there just yet, but are having our elopement here in April. The place is beautiful, the internet pictures don't do it justice. Nathan and Casey are very accommodating and flexible, and it has been a very pleasant experience thus far.

My wife and i used this b&b as a halfway point between our reception and the coast.. we arrived almost an hour past the lady check in available and Nathan still greeted us outside and helped us with our bags! The Astoria room was perfect and even already melodious music playing breakfast wad perfect and they catered to people's specific needs
